Colorado Trans Autistic Support

Weekly zoom meeting for trans and gender- expansive autistic folx 18+

Colorado Trans Autistic Support is a group of Colorado adults who support each other in navigating the world while being our transgender (and other not-cisgender identities!) and autistic selves!

They offer a peer-support group meeting once a week for anyone who identifies as trans (or non-binary) and autistic (this also includes people with Asperger’s). They do not require a formal diagnosis of autism for attendance. They also welcome people exploring their gender, even if they aren’t sure they are or are not trans.

Groups meet once a week, Every Saturday via Zoom.
11:00 AM until 1:00 PM (Mountain Time).

Groups are small right now and provide a place for people to “be” as themselves. Try out a new name, talk about what is going on with your life, ask others about resources for transition, or learn from other people’s experiences being an autistic person in this world.

  • To maximize privacy, Colorado Trans Autistic Support asks for the following:

    • You are 18+ years old, as adult topics may be discussed.

    • You identify as autistic (including Asperger’s). It is okay if you do not have a formal diagnosis but simply believe yourself to be autistic.

    • You identify as trans or non-binary. If you aren’t sure if you are trans/non-binary, but are exploring that possibility, you are also welcome.

  • Colorado Trans Autistic Support outlines Group Agreements here. The does not necessarily have to follow these specific agreements, but rather that the agreements are an attempt to describe the community expectations, as expressed by the group itself. Thus, all agreements are subject to change should the group be better served with other agreements.

  • To get information about this support group, send an email to meetings@transautistic.org. Just let us know you’re wanting to participate in the meeting. We’ll ask you to confirm that you meet the above requirements.

If you require disability accommodations to attend, please let us know what you require.
