Highlight of the Week: Harvest of Hope Food Pantry

Open since 2012, Harvest of Hope is Boulder’s only food pantry that serves everyone who comes through their door.

Their aim: “to provide a shopping experience that allows everyone to leave with a daily amount of supplemental food to fill the gap that other services are unable to offer.” They offer a client choice shopping experience where individuals can select preferred food with their shopping allowances.

Clients who may not have access to refrigeration can choose from a variety of easy to transport single serving food items and may shop daily and those with access to refrigeration have the opportunity to shop one day each week.

How to sign up:

People who have proof of residency within Boulder County will register as weekly shoppers and all others will be registered as daily shoppers.

For those wishing to receive weekly food assistance, Harvest of Hope will require an intake form and signed recognition of their Rules and Terms (both are required so that Harvest of Hope can secure grants and funding and continue providing this important service).

For those who do not have proof of residency in Boulder County, wishing to receive food assistance daily, are asked to complete an intake form (there is no requirement to show ID).

Shopping times are Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm with two additional evening shopping times, Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm.

What to Expect:

Clients are served on a first come basis. You will be welcomed at check-in and when your name is called, a volunteer will assist you in selecting from the current inventory of food. After your shopping experience, you will proceed to weigh out and exit.

As a courtesy, Harvest of Hope asks that you do not arrive more than 10 minutes before they open and check in at least 15 minutes before closing.

No appointments are necessary.
