HIV/AIDS Awareness Month December 2023

 

While World AIDS Day is recognized December 1st, the month of December is a time to raise awareness and reflect on the impact that this epidemic has had on our communities and the world. 

The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS and World Health Organization estimates that 39 million people are living with HIV currently, additional statistics can be found below:

Boulder County AIDS Project

Mission: The mission of the Boulder County AIDS Project (BCAP) is to provide support, advocacy and education to those in our community who are living with or affected by HIV, and to serve as an outreach and information center to prevent the further transmission of HIV. 

Services: medical and bilingual case management, insurance assistance, financial support, pro bono professional services such as legal aid, and nutritional support through their on-site food pantry.
