Sakinah Jaaber, Intern Therapist, (she/her)

My name is Sakinah Jaaber, (she/her) I am a current Master’s student of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Denver. I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina where I obtained my BA in Psychology at Wingate University. I view therapy as a way to explore and identify the patterns of relationships, thoughts, feelings, experiences, and person-centered approaches. I view the therapeutic relationship as one of the most beneficial parts to successful therapy.

I utilize the therapeutic process through Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Somatic and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy approaches. I am dedicated to working with the community to reduce stigmas on mental health and provide a safe environment and therapeutic experience. Outside of the therapy room I enjoy exercising, playing with my bunny, Stella, reading, and being with loved ones.
